A New Deal stimulus package

Robert Reich makes the case for a really big stimulus package, comprised of government spending on infrastructure and energy, rather than tax cuts.

I don't have the macro data, but my experience is that the severe unavailability of commercial credit is preventing me from a venture that would create jobs.

I don't know the data on likelihood of further job cuts under B/K. But even if no further job losses ("far from clear", but unlikely) he doesn't consider the snowball effect on investor confidence.

There's not another option for exploiting capacity without deepening federal debt?
